Baby Gym Class

Baby Gym Bears -Level 1: (Non-Crawlers & Crawlers) (6-14 mos.)-30 min. class &

Baby Gym Bears -Level 2: (Crawlers & New Walkers) (6-18 mos.)-30 min. class

Our Baby Gym Bear class is a specially designed, playful physical activity programs that help infants and toddlers develop motor skills, balance, and coordination.  This class promotes sensory play, socialization, equipment exploration, music & motion.  Our trained instructors will introduce parents to activities that they can do to at home to promote crawling, walking, rolling and other movement skills for this age level.

Rather than focusing on flips and strict routines, these classes use safe, age-appropriate movements to help your little one reach important physical milestones while having fun.

Parent Participation is required.

Parent & Me

JR. Mini Bears and Mini Bears are parent-and-child gymnastics classes for good independent walkers ages 1 to 3½. Children build early tumbling, movement, balance, coordination, and confidence through obstacle courses, music, games, and preschool gymnastics equipment.

Parents or Caregivers actively guide children through each activity, helping them explore safely while supporting bonding, social interaction, listening skills, and independence.

Class Focus

·        Basic gymnastics circuits and obstacle courses with educational themes

·        Running, jumping, crawling, climbing, balancing, and supported rolls

·        Music, movement games, turn-taking, and following directions

Gym N’ Learn

Our Gym N' Learn classes combine active gymnastics with academic preschool learning for young children ages 3 1/2-5 year old. This program provides students with 1 FULL hour of gymnastics and 1 FULL hour of academic learning! For the academic program, students work on reading, writing and arithmetic! They also practice fine motor skills in in a small group setting with certified teachers! We help your kids get ready for kindergarten by focusing on both physical and mental growth!

Students must be potty trained to participate in this program.

Preschool & Kindergarten Classes

Students independently participate in gymnastics and gross motor skills tailored to their age level. The main focus of these classes are socialization, creativity, and emphasis on skilled development.

Gymnastic & Tumbling Classes

Donna’s Gym-nastics offer beginner (Bronze) to advance Platinum Plus) levels of gymnastics and tumbling classes for boys and girls ages 6 to 18 years of age. Development of body control, flexibility, coordination, and strength as well as proper execution and form are stressed in a fun, creative, noncompetitive environment.

Small Class Ratios: Our small class sizes allow for a low teacher-to-student ratio, helping us keep your child’s safety our top priority while providing more individualized attention than larger gyms.

Super Staff: Experienced instructors who prioritize individual recognition and make learning fun.

Efficient Equipment: Every gymnastics class included Bars, Low Beam, Floor, air Tumbl-Trak, and Mini-Tramp. Tumbling class includes Floor, air Tumbl-Trak, and Mini-Tramp.

Non-competitive Curriculum:  A structured curriculum guides our staff through effective teaching techniques and skill progressions, helping students build positive muscle memory and strong kinesthetic awareness.

Smart Skills: Positive reinforcement and safety are key, plus we build the coordination and flexibility that make kids feel confident and successful in other areas as well.

 All of our gymnastics classes include bars, beam, floor, air Tumbl Trak, and mini trampoline.

Bronze & Silver /Jr. Beginner Gymnastics

Focus of some skills for this level are:

Floor:  Variety of forward & backward rolls, proper lunge & bridge, cartwheel

Bars:  Front support, casting, straddle swing & forward roll on bars

Beam:  Forward roll, balances, turns & straddle mount on beam, and learning to properly run & properly hit the vaulting board & mini tramp and start to combine with various jumps.  

Mini Tramp/ Vault Board: Jump full & ½ turns, forward roll progressions

 

Bronze /Beginner Gymnastics

The focus of skills for this level:  

Floor:  Variety of forward & backward rolls, proper lunge & bridge, bridge with 1 leg in the air, cartwheel, Bars:  Front support, casting, straddle swing & forward roll on bars, pike & straddle glides

Beam:  Forward roll, balances, basic turns, leaps, & jumps, and straddle mount on beam

Mini Tramp/ Vaulting Board:  Learning to properly run & properly footing to hit the vaulting board & mini tramp and start to combine with various jumps.

 

Silver /Advanced Beginner Gymnastics (pre-approval required)

Focus of some skills for this level:

Floor:  One-handed cartwheel, cartwheel on non-domain side, handstand hold with a straight body, handstand over to a bridge hold, back bend down & back up, bridge kickover, back handsprings over bolster.

Bars:  Back hip pullover low & high bar, single leg cuts, swing half turn with mixed grip, & straddle dismount, glide kips on the kip swing  

Beam: Cartwheel on beam, donkey kicks, turns, jumps & leaps, round-off dismount,

Mini Tramp/ Vaulting Board:  Learn proper technique to run, approach & hit the vaulting board & mini tramp with proper footing.   Start to combine the approach various jumps & rolls off the mini tramp.

 

Gold /Intermediate Gymnastics (pre-approval required)

The focus of skills for this level are: 

Floor:  Handstand forward rolls,  backbend kickover, backbend holding 1 leg, back & front walkovers, front and back handsprings beginning progressions, running round off with a power hurdle & a rebound, back extension roll,

Bars:  Cast & squat on low bar, single leg shoots, mounts, glide kip, and back hip circles. 

Beam:  Aerial dismounts, full turns on 1 foot, Split & switch leg leaps,

Mini Tramp/ Vaulting Board:  Front tucks, Barani, Back Tucks

After specific skills are completed, your child will work on mastering additional skills including:  round-off back handsprings, beginner front tucks, front handspring dismounts on beam, and backdrop pullovers on bars. 

Platinum /Advanced Gymnastics (pre-approval required)

Advanced Gymnastics 1 classes focus on:

Floor:  Round off, back handspring, back tuck, Round off back layouts, front aerials

Bars:  Front stride circle, and front pike (trampoline), front hip circles,

Beam:  Back handsprings on beam, aerial cartwheels, front tuck dismounts, Barani dismounts, wolf turns

 

Platinum Plus/Elite Gymnastics (pre-approval required)

This class is designed for the very most advanced level gymnast with an emphasis on strength, flexibility, and conditioning. This level focuses on twisting on floor, flyaways on bars, and back tucks & front tuck mounts on beam, etc.

Dance & Cheer Classes

Our dance and cheer programs offer a variety of classes for children ranging in age from 3 and a half to 18 years of age. Fundamental skills and techniques for each program are incorporated into our curriculum. Our classes are designed to enhance your child’s development and coordination in a fun, noncompetitive environment.

Super Heroes and

Fitness Warrior Classes

Super Heroes is a 55-minute class for children ages 4–7. Inspired by Ninja Warrior-style challenges, students build fitness, tumbling, climbing, coordination, balance, and agility through obstacle courses using gymnastics equipment in a fun, non-competitive setting. The class also introduces basic conditioning skills such as modified sit-ups, push-ups, and pull-ups. (Combination of fitness & tumbling)

Fitness Warriors is for children from age 8 to 12 years. This is a 55 minute American Ninja Warrior Type class using gymnastics equipment Our curriculum works on fitness activities & testing, obstacle courses & tumbling in a fun, non-competitive environment!!  A step higher than Super Heroes! (Combination of fitness & tumbling)

Students are encouraged to not compete against each other but to cheer each other on and do their personal best!

JR. Shining Stars & Shining Stars Gymnastics (Adapted/Special Needs Gymnastics)

Special Needs Gymnastics- Parent Participation Required

JR. Shining Stars Adapted Gymnastics Classes For Children W/Special Needs for 5-7 yr. -30 min.

Shining Stars Adapted Gymnastics Classes For Children W/Special Needs for 8 yr. & up -30 min. Parent Participation required, -Parent Participation required

Adapted gymnastics (often called special needs or inclusive gymnastics) adapts traditional gymnastics for individuals with physical, sensory, or developmental disabilities. These programs develop gross motor skills, strength, and confidence in a supportive, sensory-friendly environment.

Key Benefits

Adaptive gymnastics provides significant physical and cognitive growth:

  • Balance & Coordination: Improves core stability and spatial awareness through vestibular and proprioceptive activities.

  • Confidence: Builds self-esteem as participants achieve personalized milestones at their own pace.

  • Socialization: Helps children interact and feel successful in a structured environment.

Program Features

Our classes are generally structured to meet the unique needs of each participant:

  • Modified Equipment: Uses specialized or lowered equipment to ensure safety and accessibility.

  • Low Ratios: Provides smaller class sizes or one-on-one attention from certified instructors.

  • Sensory Adaptations: Incorporates quiet areas and calming sensory activities to prevent overstimulation.

Yoga Classes

Our yoga classes are for boys are girls 4 to 14 years of age, in this class students learn breathing techniques, poses and learn the benefits of yoga. Fitness classes range from 4 to 10 years of age. These classes focus on agility and tumbling skills using various obstacle courses. Both programs help with focus, strength, coordination, and flexibility. (Currently NOT offered)

Team, Private Lessons & Specialty Clinics

We have 3 non-competitive performance show teams for boys and girls ages 5 and up. Private and semi-private lessons are offered for all ages. Our specialty clinics zero in on important moves for cheerleading and gymnastic routines. These clinics range from cartwheels to backhand springs to cheerleading stunting.

Aerial Silks/Slings

Students in this class work with aerial silks and slings to master the ability to climb, wrap themselves, and perform graceful movements while suspended in the air under the guidance of our instructors.
